An awesome book series i've read and really enjoyed, not tolkien but still very good.
Also has a continuation series called The Mallorean which is also very good.
Besides these two series the auther (David Eddings) has a few more series that are also part of the world he created in the first one.
Read one of them so far and it was epic, so i do recommend checking him out.

be warned though.. 1st book starts pretty slow but once it starts picking up pace it'll just keep you hooked till you finish the book...
Also a bit of mystery to the books which makes them even more intriguing...
