Not having Tom Bombadil, the Old Forest and the barrow wights in the film was such a shame. Personally I think they were the best parts of the books.

I'm sure if Peter Jackson could do the films again now he would have added the above and lost some of the tedious filler at the end of The Return of the King.

I saw the movies before read the books, loved them, but after read the books indeed I think damm how epic would be that scene in movies. But now that we look movies were very long already compared to any other, ROTK has 4 hours extended! yaya
Would love to see when gondor cities bring reinforcements to the city, would stay epic, and grey company and so on...  Yeah that scene is great!
maybe we get to have a series in the future !!
